Hi, I am Lester Melo, Certified Wedding Planner, an entrepreneur by profession and an active member on various committees ( Goa Tourism Development  Corporation Board, Guest Lecturer at the Dempo College, Panjim (Event Management Course), ING Vysya Life insurance Financial Advisor , Chairman of Saipem Sports Club) by interest.

I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and later as a teenager, we relocated from the Middle East to Goa, and although I wasn’t keen on the relocation initially, I lost no time in falling in love with this scenic, serene and easy paced land of my ancestors. Today, there’s no other place I’d rather call home.

At 22 years, in 1994, I set up my first business venture called ‘Melo Tours’, which offered guided tours especially to foreign tourists to exotic destinations in India.

Around the same time I developed a fascination for the way elaborate wedding celebrations came together. One thing led to another and I founded ‘Weddings and Dreams’ - Goa in October 2001. To couples and their families who dream of the perfect wedding in Goa, my company offers exclusive wedding planning services! It’s a delight to meet couples in love, eager and expectant to exchange or renew vows of forever togetherness. It heralds the beginning of a special phase in their life and at the same time, it is a privilege to be privy to their unique desires to make this wedding occasion special.

And what makes me good at what I do? I realise that a wedding is more than just another party; it’s a solemn occasion deserving of meticulous planning…it’s a roller coaster of the aspirations, anxieties and excitement of the couple…its about sharing challenges and at the end of it, mutual triumphs. I also believe that to enthuse life into these plans, what’s important is not just a vivid imagination and flair for creativity, but also high quality resources! 

For the past 8 years, we have successfully planned and organised within Goa, weddings for couples of different religions, cultures, cities and countries who wished to begin their journey as a married couple or simply renew their vows amidst the panoramic locales of Goa. We have put together weddings for couples from all walks of life, from the Bollywood families, India's steel barons, Goa's noted family names to the bride that just wants it elegant and personal.

We have been associated with weddings of the Vinod Khanna family, Laxmi Mittal Family and locally with family names like the Kamat's , The Hede's, recently the Timblo's and many more.

For our International beach Weddings in Goa we also partner with some major British based tour and wedding operators, Thomas Cook - , First Choice, Cosmos Holidays, Travel Pack being a few of them.

A spectacular and significant celebration is a big reward to not only the couple but also to my dedicated and

skilled team. And nothing spells satisfaction for us as much as a happy couple basking in the glory of a memorable wedding.
